A lifestyle newborn session is a beautiful way to capture your baby’s first days at home. That first month can fly by, quickly becoming a blur of sleepless nights, feedings and diaper changes. It can be a tiring and busy time, so I try to keep your session simple and stress free. I provide guidance on how to prepare your home, and wardrobe options for moms. We typically shoot in 1-2 well lit rooms in your home. This is often the baby’s nursery and a bedroom or living room. Images from lifestyle sessions look beautifully when displayed in an album and as wall art in a baby nursery. We will capture details like your nursery decor, baby toes, and emotive images of baby with parents. Swaddling baby in a soft, organic swaddle is often how we start. Snuggle Bugz in Burlington has many swaddles that photograph beautifully. Lifestyle sessions are best held before baby turns three weeks old, to get sleepy pictures of your little one.
